"Without Dr. Rodriguez, the program and without God, I think that I would not be here today.”
— Barbara Blough

A series of four neofuturistic portraits for two scientist and a patient of the Houston Methodist Hospital for the hospital foundation's magazine. The article refers to a program where the community gives back to the community at Houston Methodist Hospital. It helps uninsured women in Houston deal with the hard and serious challenges of their lives. You can read the article here.
I have tried to express a positive atmosphere illuminating the faces of these great scientist with strong white light. The Gestalt Psychology principles of Good Continuation and Form Invariance are used to create the impression of movement in space and time. The colour palette refers to the colors of stained glass windows of a classic Methodist church.
Created in collaboration with Richards/Calsberg advertising company. Based on photos by Terry Vine.

The first portrait I created was for Barbara Blough, the patient, for the cover of the magazine.
