The Lion & Lioness for Kozi's Restaurant

Kozi asked for an image of a lion in his shop, Dimitra made the small Ndebele-inspired doodles, and Charis tsevisized it all up to create The Roaring Lion and His Serene Lioness.

Work In Progress

The Ndebele-Inspired Doodles
70 Squares. 45 Horizontal Rectangles. 45 Vertical Rectangles.
From paper to screen and created to have a variety of densities and colors.

Preparing Color Combinations

70 Squares x every possible color alternative. 45 Horizontal Rectangles x every possible color alternative.  45 Vertical Rectangles x every possible color alternative.

Making Magic

This is the part where Charis selects a portrait and, in his mind, first magically deconstructs its photographic elements, then reconstructs them according to a grid and a specific color palette. The rest is slowly composed bit by bit, layer by layer, feature by feature.

Secret Messages

And just a little reminder was inserted among all the ordered chaos

The visual details added to the cozy African Experience at Kozi's
