Audubon magazine: Save the Golden Eagle!

A mosaic illustration of a Golden Eagle made out of pieces from all Audubon illustrations. Created for the cover of the climate issue of Audubon magazine.

The eagle is made from John James Audubon's own illustrations, from The Birds of America (1827–1838), for the climate issue. A later Great Gray Owl cover (see Bird Mosaic for Climate Change) uses staff and volunteer photos.
