SMITHSONIAN MAGAZINE (USA): Unmasking Thomas Jefferson: The president's twin portraits.

Smithsonian magazine commissioned me to create twin portraits of President Thomas Jefferson for a special issue on him and his secrets. The black-and-white version would symbolize the two sides of this historical personality. It is created with hundreds of photos, documents, and elements from the Jefferson's archives.

Jefferson was the third US president, 1801–1809, and the principal author of the Declaration of Independence. The two portraits stand for the two sides of his story.

This work uses the method described in Algorithmic Mosaic. More work of this kind: Applications · Editorial Illustration. The research behind the method: Research, Science and Technology.
